Our healthy hearts!

This week at Brownies we completed our Healthy Heart badge!

We had been excited to make smoothies all week and the day finally arrived!

First of all, we started off with the Active part of our badge!

We got ourselves into teams and had a relay across the hall. On the other side was a bit of paper where we each had to write a sport that keeps you active!

Then we thought about how we keep our bodies healthy. We each made posters about food that are good and bad for our heart!

Then, finally, we moved onto the smoothies. We got into different pairs and each chose a number from the bag. Each number corresponded with a plate of fruit, so everyone tried something different! We chopped up the fruit and chose how much of each we put in. Once we had done this we got to choose which juice we would like with our smoothies, orange or apple! The leaders added this to the blenders but the girls pushed the button to blend it up and decided when they thought they were done. Some were nicer tasting than others but we all gave them a go!35682206_10205137694717900_6562599540254310400_n35796742_10205137693917880_4144182277116526592_n

By the time we tidied up it was time to go home! But not before our leaving Brownies decided on the theme for next weeks party! The theme is food and we will be visiting the park!

Last Stop!

This week was our last stop on our Global Adventure badge travels! We decided to stay put in Scotland and make some paper kilts! We folded up the paper like a fan and coloured it in with the colours we chose! (Not one kilt looked the same, they were all fab!)

Next week we will be having an Emoji themed party for one of our Rainbows leaving party!

Busy brownies

This last month has been a busy one for our brownies so I’ve been lacking on the posts!

We took part in the out and about badge and made nature dens!

We then done our think resilient badge with a peer educator

We then started our healthy heart badge by having a netball taster to test our pulses!we will be finishing off this badge next week by making smoothies. Tonight we took a walk to the park as it was such a nice night!

At the weekend 9 of our brownies joined up with another unit to attend our first ever Pack Holiday. We made crafts, played outside, had a ballroom dancing course and went a walk to the forest!
